Evangelical, Charismatic, And Pentecostal Christians- What’s The Difference?
An ‘Evangelical’ Christian is more a label used by unbelievers describing Christians who are not Roman Catholic than anything else. Pentecostal and Charismatic Christians are essentially the same, they are believers who have experienced the fullness of Christian life by receiving the Baptism of the Holy Spirit.
Media and other non-Christians in North America tend to lump all committed Christians into the Evangelical field, but in fact they would be different. For example, Oral Roberts, Jack Hayford, Kenneth Hagin, David Yonggi Cho,and Pat Robertson would be considered both Pentecostal and Charismatic., while Billy Graham, Franklin Graham, Rick Warren, Jerry Falwell and other more conservative leaders would easily fall under the Evangelical label . The Evangelicals definitely do not fall into the Spirit-filled Charismatic and/or Pentecostal Christian labels.
There are many labels but we must follow Jesus. After all, Acts 10:38 tells us that Jesus the Son of God, went about doing good and healing all those who were oppressed by the devil. It’s time for you to overcome the forces of hell. You can only do it by knowing Jesus and the power of the Holy Spirit. Find out how to do that below.
Do you have God’s power in your daily life?
