Where Is Heaven?
Heaven is a real place, it is physical. In fact, some Bible scholars say heaven is a planet (Dake Annotated Reference Bible). The Lord Jesus Christ, after His resurrection and 120 days on the earth with those who love Him, ascended into Heaven in His physical body. Jesus Christ ascended, ascension is up. The Lord Jesus says in John 14:1-3 that He is going to Heaven (a place) to prepare a ‘mansion’ literally a dwelling place or home for each and every one of us.
Heaven is above, hell is below. Hell is in the center of the earth, Heaven is above the earth. Psalms 48:1-2 says that Heaven, and the great city of our God is on the sides of the North. Students of the Word conclude that Heaven is a planet directly North of the North Pole. That sounds shocking until you begin to study it out. Deuteronomy 11:21 talks about the heavens being above the earth.
The Bible is filled with many passages on Heaven (Revelation 21:4, John 14:2, 1 Corinthians 2:9, Revelation 22:1-5, Romans 10:9-13, Luke 23:43, Matthew 6:19-21, Hebrews 11:16. Revelation 21:22-27, John 3:13, 2 Peter 3:13, Luke 12:33-34, 1 Timothy 6:17-19, Matthew 25:46, and many others). There are people who have had an OBE (out of body experience) where they have gone to heaven or hell. The former is what God the Father wants you to choose. There are people who have had their spirit (remember you are a three part being, spirit, soul, and body) visit Heaven or hell. Everyone that goes to Heaven doesn’t want to come back, those who go to hell don’t want to stay.
Heaven is a real place. Where you are now is a corrupt and dying copy of Heaven. Heaven looks a lot better than here and it is where people who love God will be for eternity.
Heaven has trees, rivers, animals, food, drink, water, housing, mountains, birds, people, feasts, singing, and many other things that we have here. Heaven is a such a beautiful place. In fact, 1 Corinthians 2:9 it is really hard to describe what God has prepared for those who know, trust, and believe in Him. Do you know Him? If you have a regular relationship with God, you can be assured that you will enter Heaven when you (your spirit/soul) depart your body. If you don’t know God, now is a good time to meet Him. It starts with Jesus!
