What Are The Different Types Of Biblical Fasts?
Fasting is going without food so that you can be more sensitive to the direction of Father God and the Holy Spirit that guides believers on the Earth. There are several types of fasting. The one you choose is between you and God. Fasting doesn’t change God, fasting changes you. He will honor your choice as you focus on Him based on your needs and situation.
Full Fast
Drink only water and you set the number of days. As Jesus, you should never fast for more than 40 days.
The Daniel Fast
Eat no meat, no sweets and no bread. Drink water and juice. Eat fruits and vegetables.
The 3-Day Fast
This fast can be a Full Fast, Daniel Fast or give up at least one item of food such as meet. The point is you are dedicating and focusing yourself and desires on God.
A Partial Fast
A partial fast is from 6:00 am to 3:00 pm or from sun up to sundown. You can select from three types of fasting —a Full Fast, Daniel Fast or give up at least one item of food.
