What Is The Blasphemy Of the Holy Spirit?
What is the blasphemy of the Holy Spirit? Is it something you say or said? Something you do? Is it a believer denying God in a time of emotional tension? Ministers hear this question a lot.
This question and the question about any unforgivable sins (more on that here) are actually one in the same. You can read about the Lord Jesus describing it in Matthew 12:31,32. But you can also read about it in Mark 3:28,19 and Luke 12:10.
The blasphemy of the Holy Spirit, the unforgivable sin, is to deny the drawing of the Holy Spirit on your salvation personally and reject Jesus as your personal Savior. You see the Holy Spirit draws all mankind (that’s men and women!) to God. It is up to each person to either accept Jesus and His work of dying on your behalf or reject. People who accept have eternal life. Those who hear the message and rejected have blasphemed the Holy Spirit and will not be forgiven unless they do so while they are alive in their human body. Once they pass, there is not another chance. You must know Jesus!
Do you have God’s power in your daily life?
